Your Teacher Miss Ainsley

My sister loves to play teacher. When she has time she'll play for a couple of hours. I sit there pretending to be taking notes to make her happy but actually I'm putting my legs up on my desk and am writing this very story.

She wants to have a great class and she teaches them (the kids are pretend) necessary things, sometimes crazy experiments. Also serious things like "Here are the rules such as raise you hand and sit up straight" (it helps your backbone to be straight). My sister loves to do experiments but she is, I guess, a little serious about the experiments. Her last experiment was having the pretend kids make sandwich bag straws with pretend bags. Hers was real of course.

My sister calls herself Miss Ainsley. She reads them books like Mater and the Ghost Light. Sometimes I butt in. She doesn't like that at all. She likes to have a pleasant smile and pays attention to every kid how they would like it.

I am a frequent person to play in the game but not for long.

  1. You are a very observant little teacher yourself - Miss Harper.
I really like this piece. It shows how to use a writer's notebook
    very well.
